On February 24, 2018, Walsingham will hold its 47th Annual Auction & Dinner for the Children at Kingsmill Resort. The evening will consist of a cocktail hour, silent auction, seated dinner, and live auction. Proceeds from the two past auctions funded the purchase of two new activity school buses and resurfaced our running track. This year’s event proceeds will provide some new, innovative teaching materials for the Academy—including 3D printers, software, greenhouse, and upgraded Middle School technology. Most recently, both auction attendance and funds raised have exceeded our expectations—we hope to continue the trend this year!
Nestled on 30 acres of wooded land in the heart of Williamsburg, Walsingham Academy is a Catholic, coeducational school serving more than 535 students from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Founded in 1947 by the Sisters of Mercy and built on the traditions of academic excellence, faith, and the development of the whole child, Walsingham focuses on meeting the challenges of discovering and developing student’s gifts to prepare them to be responsible young adults. Our students are encouraged at every stage of their development to achieve personal success and act with integrity and compassion. Walsingham relies on the support of parents, alumni, and the community to continue to offer students an academically challenging program in a faith-based environment.
